We’ve had a great church family weekend away together at Ashburnham.
Below you will find the recordings of Isaac Pain’s talks on the book of Haggai
If you weren’t able to join us or you would like to revisit any of the sessions then please use the links below.
In Talk 1 we saw how God's people had sunk into a place of complacency when it came to re-building his temple. What is it that can lead to complacency with spiritual things within us, and how can we over come it? Is there anything you feel prompted to commit to today?
In Talk 2 we saw that another problem the people of God has was to grow pessimistic about the present because it didn't live up to our memories of the past. Does that connect with you at all? How can we feed ourselves with the hope of the gospel that our futures are going to far outweigh any past glory?
In Talk 3 we saw how God's people thought that simply having the temple with them again was enough to make them right with God. Are there similar things that you are trusting in to bring you close to God? How can we release our grip on those things and learn to trust in the cross of Christ alone?
